      Why can't I dial 311, 711, or 811?

      These are city-specific services. Because Dialpad is an Internet-based phone system (and the phones will work anywhere in the world) the system does not know what city you are in and thus those phone numbers will not work. Here are the alternatives for New York City:
      • 311 - NYC Government Services: 212-NEW-YORK (212-639-9675)
      • 711 - TDD and Relay: 800-421-1220
      • 811 - Underground Public Utility Information: 800-272-4480
