What is the difference between Chrome and Chrome OS
It is important to understand the difference between these two very different software products created by Google.
Chrome is a web browser made by Google which allows you to view web pages or use web-based applications (such as G-Mail). Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari are also web browsers, but Chrome is the most widely used web browser. Chrome OS is the operating system that runs on Chromebooks - similar to how Windows or MacOS are the operating systems that run on desktops and laptops and Android and iOS are the operating systems that run on smartphones and tablets.
